God’s Glory
All created things are for the sole purpose of bringing fame and glory to God. The common denominator to all of creation's existence is God's glory. Orlando North puts the glory of God on the highest pedestal, and all of our values fall under the umbrella of God's glory. (Romans 11:36, 1 Corinthians 10:31, 1 Chronicles 16:24, Psalm 24:7, Isaiah 6:3).
God’s Word as Authority
The Bible is God’s voice on paper written by men whom He spoke through by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is our source of direction and guidance. The Bible trumps all-man made doctrines and beliefs systems. At Orlando North, the Bible is the authority in all decision making. (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Salvation
Man’s initial nature is that of sinner, not because of anything we have done, but because we inherited that nature from Adam. The sin nature within us is what keeps us separated from God eternally. The hope man has is to receive Jesus Christ by faith into his life, which results in our sin nature being replaced by the nature of Christ, which is saint. Salvation is found only in Jesus, and the result of our salvation is freedom in life and eternity with God. (Matthew 18:14, John 3:16-17)
Outreach
Orlando North will serve the community in which it is planted. We will serve the poor, the broken, and the needy. We will serve with no intention of being noticed, but rather, to meet the needs of those whom we are serving so the love of Christ can be revealed. (Proverbs 29:7, Isaiah 25:4, Luke 14:12-14, 1 John 3:17)
Expression
Artistic freedom will always be encouraged at Orlando North. We will be a community who is attracted to the creative expression of every person. Art will not be limited to the popular expressions, but it will be encouraged in an array of avenues, even those not yet discovered. The message of Jesus will never change, but we will continually create as cultural styles and trends shift. (Psalm 144:9, Exodus 35:30-36, 2 Samuel 6:14)
Community
The book of Acts demonstrates for us that a main function of the church is community. Orlando North will not be about a show, but we will always be about connecting people, where true community can be developed. The people of Orlando North will be involved in one another’s lives. They will celebrate together, comfort together, and mature in Jesus together. (Acts 2:42-47)
Worship
Worship is a response to God for who He is and what He has done. Our lives are to be worship. We are to respond to God. Therefore, worship is a priority of Orlando North. We will worship with our music, with our words, with our actions, and with our lives. Our worship will attract the world to Him. (Psalm 22:22, Psalm 29:2, Psalm 95:6, Luke 4:8, John 4:23-24)
Discipleship
Orlando North will strive to not only reach people for Jesus, but we will also train them to fulfill the purposes God has created for their lives. Discipleship will not only be a series of classes taught, but it will be part of who we are in every vein of our church. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Grace
Orlando North will be a community of people who understands if it were not for the hand of grace extended by our Creator, we would have no hope. Our act of worship, or response to God, for His grace is to treat our brothers and sisters with the same grace that God extended to us. Giving people opportunity to grow and mature, even within their mistakes, will be of utmost importance at Orlando North. (Romans 3:23-24, Romans 5:2-8, Ephesians 1:7)
Relevance
Orlando North will always stay relevant to today’s culture. This does not mean we will emulate culture, but we will do our best to stay in touch with it. The message of Jesus will never change, but our methods must consistently be challenged. No style or methodology will be sacred at Orlando North. We will press ourselves to stay on the current mindset of culture, rather than becoming comfortable in established places that have worked for periods of time. (1 Corinthians 9).
